From the mountains of Montana to Nashville, Tennessee … country artist Jarod Grubb is mining the sounds of modern country music.  His beachy melodies are known to get stuck in your head and his light-hearted lyrics take listeners to another place.

Jarod comes from a baseball background, but started writing songs on the guitar in college in between games and studies.  Before that, he was trained on the classical piano and played the saxophone, which he says made it easy to pick up the guitar.  He realized he could have a future as an artist when he won the Colgate Country Showdown in his hometown of Kalispell, MT where he played for a crowd of 3,000.

His song topics range from life experiences to relationships to partying, and he developed a fondness for the beach and the ocean despite growing up in the Rocky Mountains … probably from his sailing background, which rings true in his songs like his debut single “Tiki Bar on the Beach”.

In Nashville, Jarod started his performing career at Tootsies where he refined his ability to connect with the crowd.  “That’s the beauty of music,” says Jarod.  “It’s not a competition.  It’s all about connecting with your listeners.”

Since Tootsies, he’s found a fit playing at Margaritaville on Broadway and Margaritaville Hotel where his Jimmy Buffett-like style and James Taylor sounding vocals resonate.

Jarod was picked up by the Lots To Do record label after artist Tom Sexton cut two of Jarod’s songs, ‘What the Whiskey’s For’ and ‘Populaton 2’.  Both songs made the Country Billboard Indicator chart.

What’s next for Jarod?  With the help of his label, he is riding the wave to the charts himself and plans to release his next single, ‘What She’s Drinkin’ On’ after ‘Tiki Bar on the Beach’ before his full EP comes out.  As a prolific writer, he’s got a full catalogue of songs ready to release after that.  Look for lots of music coming from Jarod Grubb in the near future!
